Camp Morrow Gap Year Program

Camp Morrow Gap Year Program

March 9-12, from 9am-12pm, Monday – Thursday (March 9th-12th) Mike Thibodeaux taught at the Camp Morrow Gap year program for young adults. The discipleship week focused on Influences. The Influence message series examines from Isaiah 1-2 how Israel had been influenced to sin against God by the nations around them.  Students learned how influence works and God’s call to stop regarding and esteeming men (Isaiah 2:22) because in the last days God will be exalted and man will be humbled. This preaching series further helped students recognize how Satan – through this world – seeks to influence, deceive, and entice them to sin against God. Mike addressed key issues related to technology and addiction, pornography, as well as other sins of sexual immorality. Furthermore, Mike challenged students to realize that as a Christian they are the temple of God (1 Cor. 6:19) and as such must flee sexual immorality and glorify God with their bodies. Much like Israel in the days of Isaiah, there are Christians today that defile God’s temple (their own bodies) with sins of immorality.  Rather than being influenced by a lost world, God intends for His people to be an Influence upon the lost to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ!  Thank you for investing in the spiritual discipleship of these young adults.
