Mike will be teaching each morning from 9am-12pm, Monday – Thursday.  The teaching focus for this event is Influences. 

The Influence message series examines from Isaiah 1-2 how Israel had been influenced to sin against God by the nations around them and God’s warning and instruction to them about allowing such influence.  Students learn how influence works and God’s call to stop regarding and esteeming men (Isaiah 2:22) because in the last days God will be exalted and man will be humbled. This preaching series further helps students recognize how Satan, through this world, seeks to influence, deceive, and entice them to sin against God. Mike addresses key issues related to technology and addiction, pornography, as well as other sins of sexual immorality.  He is challenging students to realize that as a Christian they are the temple of God (1 Cor. 6:19) and as such must flee sexual immorality. Much like Israel in the days of Isaiah, there are Christians today that defile God’s temple (their own bodies) with sins of immorality. Students today are struggling deeply with these issues. Rather than being influenced by a lost world God intends for His people to be an Influence upon the lost to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ!
